The search for Manolis Koutzoglou continues in Crete

On Thursday, May 23, Emmanuel Koutzoklou boarded a bus from KTEL in Chania to the village of Anopoli Sfakion.

He stayed in the village for a while and then his tracks were lost. His relatives, using a mobile device camera, followed his path until the earth opened up and swallowed him.

“After arriving in the village, he went down to the square, where he sat down in a tavern to drink an orange juice. The owner told us that he had been asked where the house of his old colleague, who lived in Annapolis, was. Then he went to leave the village, but returned to the tavern, and again an orange. asked for the fruit. This also shows the confusion in his mind. Leaving for his colleague’s house, he passes another bar, which has a camera and records him in the middle of the street,” says his daughter.

On his way he stopped at the bakery of a relative of a colleague he was looking for. He was informed by the owners that his friend no longer lived in Anopoli, and in desperation he set off on foot to Sfakia. There are testimonies in the first neighborhood of the village that he was found alive around 18.30 pm.

The area is rocky, with many cliffs and unmarked trails. The family fear something bad has happened to him and are appealing to anyone who saw him or picked him up in their car to help them.
