A dinner between the Prime Ministers of Greece has been cancelled Kyriakou Mitsotakis and the President of the Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
The commission’s president, Ursula van der Leyen, left for Brussels after a planned dinner with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was cancelled.
A meeting between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the President of the European Commission will take place in Sofia on Saturday, the commission’s chief representative, Eric Mamar, tweeted.
In particular, Mr. Mamar said:
“Following the cancellation of tomorrow’s MED9 meeting in Alicante, Commission President Ursula van der Leyen will return to Brussels this evening from Athens after her speech at the Athens Democratic Forum.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and he agreed to hold a meeting in Sofia on Saturday to mark the inauguration of a natural gas pipeline between Bulgaria and Greece, instead of their planned dinner in Athens this afternoon.
