Medical specialists are trying to find the cause of the mysterious illness that led to the deaths of four people Nigeria From a bout of vomiting!

So far, the mysterious disease has only been discovered in Sokoto, in the northwest of the country, and the Nigerian Center for Disease Control and Prevention, led by Dr. Gedi Idris said a rapid response team had been dispatched to the area.
“The National Center for Disease Control has deployed a National Rapid Response Team to work with the State Department of Health to further investigate and respond to this incident. A total of 164 suspected cases have been identified so far,” she added.
It confirmed that four deaths were recorded among the suspected cases, the majority of patients being children between the ages of four and 13 years.
Dr. Idris continued: “Two suspected cases are currently receiving treatment at Usman Dan Fodio University Hospital in Sokoto, and one case has been discharged due to improvement in symptoms. Four other suspected cases are also being treated at Isa General Hospital, while about 130 cases are also being treated either in Primary health care or home care centers in the affected local government area.
