Airports are being evacuated for the second day in a row in France, which has been on high alert over the past few days.
Le Figaro newspaper reported that there were new bomb threats, including at the airports of Bordeaux, Nantes, Lille, Beauvais and Montpellier.
Dozens of flights are facing delays and problems as routes were diverted while police and firefighters were at the scene.
Just yesterday, six airports in France were evacuated after threats of attacks. A police source told AFP that the threats appeared to have been sent via email.
In particular, the source said that the airports of Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Nice, Toulouse and Beauvais near Paris were evacuated until the authorities clarified whether the threats were real.
France has been on high alert in recent days, after repeated threats of attacks on various public buildings.
The Palace of Versailles was evacuated on Tuesday due to a bomb threat that was repeated three times. The palace remained closed for the rest of the day, according to police and the palace management authority.
The Chateau de Versailles announced on its Twitter account (X) that, “For security reasons, the Palace of Versailles is being evacuated of its guests and is closing its doors for today.”
Earlier, a similar procedure was followed at the Louvre Museum in central Paris “for security reasons.”
