Quidditch Champions will offer you a single player career and you will rise in the ranks if you are good at the sport. At the same time, we learned that each victory will lead you to bigger arenas, from Hogwarts to the Quidditch World Cup Stadium.
There will also be an online competitive mode to play against other players, while you will be able to choose between different characters, such as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Draco Malfoy. The development team will give you the option to create your own character, as we saw in Hogwarts Legacy.
According to the official Warner Bros. website, Quidditch Champions is described as a “fast-paced, competitive multiplayer game” that offers a standalone Quidditch experience that allows groups of friends to participate in the sport, as well as other adventures… with sticks. The game is being developed by Los Angeles-based Unbroken Studios, the company behind mobile multiplayer shooter Fantastic Plastic Squad and PC battle royale game Fractured Lands.
Pre-orders for Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation, and Xbox are already open, and those who pre-order will also receive a Firebolt Supreme broom. Additionally, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be available on PlayStation Plus from September 3 to September 30, so subscribers to the service will be able to access the game without having to purchase it.
The regular version of the game will cost €29.99, while there will also be a Deluxe Edition for €39.99.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be released digitally only for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The development team has promised a Nintendo Switch version as well, but that’s expected to be out for Christmas. Check out the first gameplay footage from the game below.
