Nintendo has introduced a crimson version of the Switch OLED, the Mario Red Edition! -Nintendo

In the Red Mario Edition, the main system, controller, and Joy-Con feature Mario’s iconic red color. The back of the base also features a small silhouette of Mario jumping into… action. There’s also a touch of gold thanks to the collection of coins hidden inside the pier.

As we mentioned, this new design is exclusive to the Switch OLED, which is natural considering it is the company’s flagship phone. Nintendo has released other special editions of the Switch OLED recently, but this is the strategy it generally uses. From time to time, the Japanese company releases custom and special versions of game consoles that have an aesthetic and look related to upcoming games and the release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder is due out in October, and unsurprisingly, he’s looking to create some hype and hype with this particular version of the console that revolves around his ‘stronger’ personality.

This year is a very important year for Mario and his company. The Super Mario Bros. movie premiered in theaters last April. The film achieves amazing receipts. The Nintendo Switch OLED: Mario Red Edition will be available for purchase from the official Nintendo Store as well as Best Buy stores in the USA. It’s currently available for pre-order for $350, which is the same as the regular Switch OLED model. Shipments are expected to begin in October.
