The nudity trend, which became popular at New York Fashion Week last year, seems to be spreading to swimwear.

The new generation – and beyond – is taking “Free the Nipple” fashion to another level, making the undergarments… the T-shirts without any worries about any mishaps that might happen. At the same time, modern brides are opting for sheer dresses which has drawn criticism from those who still support traditional wedding dresses.

The semi-naked trend is now tackling an environment already associated with minimal clothing: the beach—which means almost nothing is left to the imagination.

After basking in the sun this month, Pink took a selfie that made fans go wild. The singer posted a photo of herself wearing a sheer Adriana Degreas strapless bikini with bananas embroidered on it providing minimal coverage, and it got over 841,000 likes on Instagram.

Kim Kardashian, for her part, is promoting her Skims swimwear line, letting the waves wet her all-white bikini, making the wet part of the fabric semi-transparent.
