European League
Great moments when Olympiacos left Spain, as 100 fans booed the players and coaches after the 2-0 defeat to Barcelona and Baskonia.
Olympiacos' 2-0 draw in Spain knocked them out of the top four and out of the top six, but with 13 games remaining before the end of the Euroleague regular season, Piraeus has time to improve its image and effectiveness and at least reach the goal of direct qualification to the playoffs.
The atmosphere in Piraeus was tense on Friday night (12/1), until the delegation arrived at the airport to begin their return journey to Greece. There, 100 friends of the team who traveled with her to Barcelona and Vitoria favorite players and coaches, showed their support in light of the most difficult continuity in Greece and Europe, creating a very special atmosphere that demonstrated the interconnectedness of the section – the fans.
Giorgos Barzoukas thanked the fans for their positive attitude, and surprised everyone by apologizing for the two negative results against Barcelona and Baskonia. For the record, this was only the second time Olympiacos had gone 0-2 in 47 Europa League weeks since 2016/17.
