Panathinaikos
Panathinaikos researched the case of 25-year-old Ecuadorian right-back Angelo Preciado, with the aim of strengthening him at the right end of defence.
Giannis Alafouzos was clear in his interview on Tuesday regarding Panathinaikos’ pre-season transfers, noting that Alfalfa’s goal is to get three to four players by June 15.
Which means that the Greens’ copiers are fully operational during this time and will be running many instances simultaneously. In fact, that is why, two weeks ago, people from Panathinaikos traveled to Belgium (mainly) and the Netherlands to check on players and talk to potential transfer targets.
Among the cases that emerged in Al-Nafl from Belgium was the World Cup player Angelo Preciado, who appeared in the World Cup in Qatar wearing the Ecuadorian shirt.
The 25-year-old full-back has been with Genk for the past few years, with his contract with the Belgian club expiring at the end of the summer and the “Blues” retaining the option to renew for another two years, but so far they have not made any move.
He has played 29 international times, and has made three appearances in the World Cup and five more in the Copa América. He turned professional with Independiente Juniors before joining Independiente del Valle and in two seasons he made more than 80 appearances, attracting interest from European teams.
Genk has secured his signature place in the right wing spinner, where he can play either at the back or up front. In total, he played 67 matches for the Belgian club.
