Panathinaikos
Panathinaikos Aktor has decided not to activate the option he had in his contract with Nikos Hogas (24 years, 2.08 metres), leaving the international striker free, who is already considering his options.
Nikos Hogas (24 years old, 2.08 m) is a free agent. Panathinaikos Aktor decided to release the international power forward, not to activate the option he had in his contract. The Greens had the right to make a decision until July 5, but they did so earlier.
For the past 1.5 years, Hujaz has been playing on loan at Peristeri Buin. In the 2023/24 season, he averaged 6.6 points and 3.4 rebounds with 42.9% three-point shooting in 17 minutes of play, and his performances earned him a place in the national team’s preliminary selection ahead of the Pre-Olympic tournament (2-7/7).
The international striker is expected to be one of the players who will be dropped before the start of the tournament. However, since he has made such a good impression, Vasilis Spanoulis usually counts him in the 14th place that will take him to the Olympic Games in Paris, if Greece qualifies of course.
Regarding his future, Hogas first wants to talk to Peristeri Bowen. His representative has proposals up his sleeve, but the international striker initially expected to settle the matter with Panathinaikos Aktor and will now first speak to the ‘princes’ before making a decision.
