PAOK
PAOK has apologized to Swalius Mete and will likely learn of the decision of the UEFA Disciplinary Committee from Monday.
UEFA is expected to announce on Monday what punishment, if any, will be imposed against Swalios Mete and Pantelis Konstantinidis.
PAOK had until Thursday to submit its apology, in which it claimed that there was no violence on the part of the French midfielder to justify a punishment longer than one match due to his expulsion after the end of the match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Frenchman, like Eintracht’s Kevin Trapp who was also sent off, is at risk of losing up to 3 matches for his team, however, PAOK also believes that such a decision might be excessive.
It stands to reason that what Simone Sottsa wrote on the match sheet would play an important role in UEFA’s decision. According to the information, the Italian justified the red cards he issued by provocative behavior towards their competitors, which he believes the football players were subjected to in light of the tension that existed at the entrance to the locker.
