The poet, lyricist, writer and communications consultant has passed away. Dimitris ProchosThe deceased was born in Thessaloniki, graduated from the 2nd Lyceum of Thessaloniki, and continued his studies in London and New York. He worked for many years as a freelance communications consultant and was Secretary of Public Education in charge of issues of people with special needs.
He appeared in the letters in 1977 with a collection of poems “In the Passage of Time”. Its lyrics were composed by composers such as Mimis Plessas, Yannis Spanos and Giorgos Hatzinasios and sung by famous singers.
He won an award at the Greek Song Festival in Thessaloniki, in which he participated for many years and was also a member of the organizing committee.
He has been awarded 5 gold discs and numerous platinum discs and has received numerous awards for his contribution to culture.
The mayor of Naoussa, Nikos Koutsouyannis, expressed his condolences for his loss, as the deceased had written the oration on the Naoussa Holocaust and TIF-Helexpo.
