Dark clouds are gathering for the ruling party ahead of the European elections, with a majority of voters ready to send a message of rejection. Of course, this does not mean that the sovereignty of the new democracy will be challenged, as the opposition will not be able to harvest its decay.
In a GPO poll on behalf of the Star, 42.1% of respondents said European elections should send a message of rejection to the government, 35.4% wanted to support their usual party and 17.5% wanted the government. 40.6% of respondents believe they will vote for a different party in the European elections than the party they voted for in the last national elections, while 57.3% believe less or not at all.
Regarding voting criteria in European elections, 53.9% say they are more influenced by domestic current affairs, 26.1% are more influenced by the personalities of the candidates, and only 18.8% say they are more influenced by European issues.

Otherwise, New Democracy has a 19.5 point lead with a 34.8% vote estimate (European elections). SYRIZA returns to second place with 14.3% against PASOK's 13.9%. KKE 9.5%, Hellenic Solution 8% followed by Victory 3.4%, New Left 3%, Freedom Journey 2.9%, Democrats -A. Loverdos 2.6%, Day 25 2.3% and Spartans 1, 8%.
In terms of voting intention, the parties gather: New Democracy 28.8% with a fall of 0.4% compared to the previous measurement, Syriza 11.7% with an increase of 0.8%, PASOK 11.4% with an increase of 0.3%, KKE 7 .8% with a rise of 0.3%, Hellenic Solution 6.5%, the largest of 1.1% recorded a percentage increase. They follow: Victory 2.8%, New Left 2.5%, Freedom Boat 2.4%, Democrats – A. Loverdos 2.1%, Day 25 1.9% and Spartans 1.5%.
On the question of the most suitable prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads with 42.5% and Stephanos Kassalakis is second with 12%. Nikos Androulakis follows with 11.8%.
