During the press conference, PowerLeader representatives talked about the first generation Powerstar P3-01105 processor built on the “Storm Core” architecture, which they described as “extremely efficient”, x86 compatible and with great support under Windows. And logically that would be the case, as the Powerstar P3-01105 processor appears to be identical to the Intel quad-core (4C/8T) “Comet Lake” processor.Core i3-10105(F).
Chinese technology news sites such as ITHome did not mention any collaboration between PowerLeader and Intel regarding the rebranding of the processor. Instead, PowerLeader executives said that the first generation of Powerstar processors were designed with the needs of everyday desktop users in mind and are suitable for government agencies, educational institutions, energy, industry, finance, healthcare, retail, and so on.
In addition to the processor, the company also showed off a new mini desktop computer called the PC PT620P, which has a Powerstar P3-01105 processor inside. However, from the statement about the capabilities of the computer, it is understood that Powerstar P3-01105 is not quite “domestic”. A PowerLeader executive said that the new processor “has very high performance, which is several times higher than that of the domestic CPU.” Only from this statement it is understood that this is not a processor developed by a Chinese company. PowerLeader also said that the processor will be launched soon in the Chinese market, aiming to sell more than 1.5 million units.
From the images and comments posted by Twitter users, it is understood that the Powerstar P3-01105 processor is similar to the Intel Core i3-10105 processor. They have the exact same physical dimensions, the same integrated heatsink (IHS) design, the same packaging, the exact same holes to mount them on the mainboard base, the exact same frequency (3.70GHz) and there are similarities even in the name. Also, the QR code is exactly the same.
