PS5: New software update has arrived and it brings a very useful feature

In addition to the behind-the-scenes changes focused on console stability, this update also adds A feature that allows players to invite their friends to play via URLs.In particular, via the relevant action card in the PS5 quick menu, you can invite someone to play together, outside of PSN, for example via a message on a social network.

More specifically, by pressing the new “Share Link” button, a QR code will appear on the screen. Using your mobile phone, you will be able to scan this QR code to get the relevant link, which you will then be able to send in any way to your friend.

It is worth noting that the update adds another feature to voice commands, but it is only available to players in the United States and the United Kingdom.

• You can invite other players to game sessions by sharing the game session URL.
• To invite other players, open the game session action card and select Share link. Then scan the QR code with your mobile device to share the link.
• This feature is only available for ongoing periods and anyone can join.
• This feature will be gradually rolled out to all players until July 24th.
• Voice command now supports the ability to open action cards in game instructions by saying “show game instructions”.
• Voice Commands (Preview) is currently available in English only for players with PlayStation Network accounts in the US and UK.
• We have improved the performance and stability of the system software.
• We’ve updated the firmware for some DualSense wireless controllers to improve stability.
• We’ve improved messaging and usability on some screens.
