Rafina: Shocked 15-year-old kidnap victim – “I was so scared, I started crying”

A 15-year-old girl has described the moments of terror and agony she experienced in the car of a 38-year-old man who abducted her in Rafina.

The teenager described in a police statement that the 38-year-old man got out of his vehicle and forced her into the passenger seat. As he said in his statement provided by Mega, he “froze” and the man then climbed into the driver’s seat, locked the fuses and started the car.

“I screamed and begged him to let me go, but he didn’t stop”

At that point the 15-year-old boy started screaming, begging her to leave him, but he didn’t stop, then he pulled down his pants and started showing her his genitals.

Then the young girl started crying in fear. Finally, the 15-year-old girl, shocked and horrified, got out of the car, called for help, and her ordeal ended when neighbors finally helped her.

“When I was near my house, a big black jeep pulled up and this guy (S.S. shows him in the police photo) stopped, opened the window, and asked me if he wanted to take me somewhere in the car. I told him, ‘No.’ ‘ I said, then he got out and forced me into the passenger seat. I froze… He quickly got into the driver’s seat, locked the fuses and started the car. I screamed and begged him to let me go, but he didn’t stop. Then he pulled down his pants. He showed me his genitals. I was so scared, I started crying. I was thrown from the car trying to open the door until I succeeded. I called for help.”

Time frame of the case

The incident happened at around noon on Thursday on Demokratis Avenue in Kokino Limanaki, Rafina. Around 4:00 pm, the 38-year-old stopped the jeep he was driving in front of the 15-year-old girl and asked her if she wanted to take her somewhere.

Although the girl refused, the 38-year-old man got out of the vehicle, drove in an unknown direction and picked her up in the car.

During the ride, the unknown man pulled down his pants and began to expose his genitalia.

Terrified of what was happening, the boy got out of the black jeep at the intersection of Soterio Kanzo and Konstantinos Parasho streets.

The minor girl, 38, was saved after the timely intervention of the local residents who got out of the vehicle and heard her cries and came down from their houses to see what was happening.

When residents of Rafina area came to the side of the 15-year-old boy, the 38-year-old driver of the jeep fled the scene before the police arrived.

A special operations team was immediately set up by the Rafina-Pikermiou security department and after careful investigations and the use of information, the police identified the accused, who was identified by the minor as the perpetrator of the crime and arrested.

Further, the said vehicle was identified as involved in criminal activity and impounded.

Authorities also did not know if the 38-year-old was a father of two.
