Raman reacts to reactions to Greece visit

Albania’s prime minister responded to political reactions to his upcoming visit to Greece on May 12. Eddie Rama Through his post on Twitter/X to clarify how “not related to internal affairs or European elections”, But this “Part of a long-planned series of visits to several European countries.”

The Albanian Prime Minister said in his post:

«It is very strange to hear the statements of the Greek protestors, I can fully understand the perspective expressed by the Greek Prime Minister. Divergent views on the same issue shed light on why some are in opposition and others are ruled by the people.

however, As Prime Minister Mitsotakis rightly pointed out, Greece is a democracy where leaders of other democracies can visit.Meet their comrades and appreciate them for their hard work and valuable contribution not only to their country of residence but also to their motherland.

My upcoming visit to Athens on Sunday, 12 (May) is not related to the internal affairs of Greece. The European Parliament elections in Greece or the Greek politicians may be of interest, but not on the agenda of the Albanian government. The visit is part of a long-planned series of visits to several European countriesTo work with my fellow citizens abroad, including Greece, where there is a large Albanian community, and to share Albania’s pride in Albania’s Vision 2030. It is only related to my visit to our friendly neighbor Greece».

Edi Rama, who wanted to emphasize Greek-Albanian friendship, closed his emoji post with the flags of the two countries and a heart.
