So the company and publisher 505 Games announced the co-development of Control 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The news came as no shock, as last year the two companies announced a “bigger budget” headline we now know what it is, good news for those who miss exploring the older home.
The makers have not shared details about the plot or the release date. Even the teaser image gives us very little information other than probably the point of control. However, Control 2 will still use Remedy’s Northlight engine, and its $51.5 million budget isn’t insignificant. However, the release of the title is still far away because the whole project according to the treatment is still conceptual level.
The company’s commitment to the sequel makes sense given the run of the original, although there were no developments for the spin-off. Control has sold 3 million copies since its debut in 2019, and a million of them have reached gamers’ hands since June of last year. The third-person action game has also received very good reviews, including 20 awards from various media that have been named Game of the Year.
