As we officially know, some of the most beloved games of all time, like Silent Hill 2 and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, are set to return in full force. Remakes exclusively for PS5. This list is likely to grow even more, as new information wants Sony to have its hands on it Exclusively for the PlayStation ecosystem, the long-rumored remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
In case you are not familiar, Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece was first released in 2004 exclusively for PlayStation 2 to rave reviews. The game has a score of 91/100 on Metacritic, with experts praising the cinematics, gameplay mechanics, bosses, and other aspects. The title has won several awards and has sold millions of copies worldwide.
Konami has long been rumored to be gearing up for the big comeback of the Metal Gear series, with development team Virtuos preparing said remake. However, new information about its availability was brought to XboxEra’s Tiftecal Nick’s attention, which was then confirmed by trusted Windows Centeal reporter Jez Corden.
So, according to them, The remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be revealed at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase event which is prepared by Sony and It will have some kind of exclusivity. We still don’t know if it was the contract Sony had with Konami for a certain amount of time, say with Deathloop being a year exclusive, or if it was something more permanent, like Final Fantasy VII Remake for example. It has never been released for Xbox as of 2020 when it first came out.
In fact, Jez didn’t just stand there, showing how Sony may also strike a deal with Konami for the rumored return of the Castlevania series. If this information is correct, it means that Sony has exclusively guaranteed all the big new games that Konami is preparing, namely remakes of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2, but also a new Castlevania.
Of course, if the company is really planning to hold its big event in the next few weeks, we will soon find out what is valid and what is not, so we don’t need much patience.
I heard a similar one about the Metal Gear PlayStation exclusivity, by the way. https://t.co/xH1C7iJ0O3

I’m not sure about that. I just heard that Sony has struck a deal with Konami for Silent Hill, Metal Gear, and maybe even a new Castlevania. 🔥
