The program is implemented within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan “Greece 2.0” funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU and aims to link training to labor market needs and enhance the employability of the unemployed in order to more quickly reintegrate them into work, in the context of the digital and green transformation of the economy.
Each trainee will attend a theoretical training programme, with a total duration of up to 200 hours. After completing the training, beneficiaries will participate in knowledge and skills certification tests by independent bodies and those who succeed will receive a full training allowance of up to €1,000 (€5 per hour of training).
With a total budget of €302 million, the Unemployed Training Program is the largest continuous vocational training program ever implemented in the country.
