Road Tax 2023: What applies to digital license plate registration

The countdown has begun for the opening of the AADE “myCar” platform for Traffic fee 2023. In fact, the new toll notices are expected to be posted by November 15, 2022 on the platform, and will have to be paid by December 31, 2022 if there is no extension from the Ministry of Finance. At the same time, it is indicated that the payment amounts for 2023 fees are expected to be the same as in 2023.

In detail, car owners should know the following:

What applies to property

Car owners can freeze their car if they want to avoid paying fees. This is done through the MyCar platform, i.e. the issuance of a zero-debt certificate in the event of their vehicle being transported and without the need to visit the DOY Their license plates and other traffic information are in the possession of their owners. So far, the following applies to vehicle immobilization:

  • To remove the deadlock for a month, 1/12 of the corresponding annual traffic fee is paid to the vehicle,
  • To remove the two-month deadlock, 2/12 of the amount of the corresponding annual traffic fee of the vehicle is paid,
  • To remove the three-month deadlock, 3/12 of the amount of the corresponding annual traffic fee of the car, etc., is paid.

Pay the monthly fee

Those who wish can choose to pay the toll each month to the extent that they only want to use their vehicle in certain months of the year.
