Roads closed in Athens on Sunday 9/4 – traffic regulations due to racing

Closed roads Traffic regulations will be in effect as Athens hosts two road races on Sunday 9/4.

In particular, due to the road race being held under the name “6th Areos Field Race “Athens Neighborhoods”, on Sunday (9/4) and from 08:00 to 11:00, the following streets of an Athens municipality, a temporary stop to traffic and a ban on parking and parking of vehicles :

• Mavrommataion, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Evelpidon, along its whole length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Mustoxidi, its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Valtinon, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Bousgou, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• L. Alexandras, in the section between Ippokratous and Mavrommataia Streets, in the traffic flow towards Patision Street, in the right traffic lane and on its right side to the first parallel street.
• Princes Islands, its entire length and perpendicular to parallel road.
• Aklophontos, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Megaloupolios, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Pl. Gizi, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Gizi, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Momferratou, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Boukouvala, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Lombardo, its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.
• Varwagi, along its entire length and its diagonals to the first parallel street.

Motorists are requested to serve them well, to prevent traffic accidents, to be especially careful while passing the above-mentioned places and to follow the existing road signs and instructions of the traffic police.

Khalidiya: Transport arrangements on Sunday

Due to road race called “KALLITHEA RUN 2023” on Sunday (9/4), traffic arrangements will be made in Kallithea Municipal area from 06:00-13:00 hrs.

Analytically:

• Vehicular traffic was temporarily halted on El. Venizelo (L. Theseos), in the section between Harokopou Street and Poseidonos Street (Palaya Paraliaki) and in two traffic streams.
• Prohibition on stopping and parking of vehicles, l. Venizelo (L. Theseos), in the area between Filareto and Montsacriotaki streets, on the traffic flow towards Athens.

Drivers are requested to avoid plying their vehicles on the above streets and boulevards during the specified period and follow the signals and instructions of the traffic controllers for their better service and to avoid further traffic problems.
