A few hours ago we informed you of the latest information that caught the attention of the Wall Street Journal, which revealed that Microsoft has finally decided to release the next Call of Duty game as of day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Now, right after the reliable media report, a new rumor has come to light that perhaps better explains the American giant’s decision. In particular, it all started with the highly trusted insider “Shinobi”. he wrote In an Xbox-related thread on gaming forum ResetEra, it was reported that “changes will be made” to Game Pass.
Shortly after that, the Spanish insider “eXtas1s” came to confirm this information he wrote On the X there will be changes to Xbox Game Pass levels, mainly due to Call of Duty. Finally the icing on the cake came from leaker NateDrake, who has an equally reliable track record. I spoke on the same forum Certain He in turn adds information:
“The changes are coming in the form of pricing and level changes.”
What could all this mean?
Microsoft may increase the price of Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, to make up for lost revenue from including the latest Call of Duty game on the service. At the same time, it is not unlikely that Microsoft will also make changes to the privileges offered by service levels. That is, games may come on day one only to ultimate tier subscribers, with regular members having to wait a few weeks or months.
There’s still no official word from Xbox’s side, but that will change soon, as we expect this year’s Xbox Games Show in early June.
