Rumour: We know what month the new PlayStation Portable will be released

As we informed you, a few days ago, there was chaos on social media with the new rumor that Sony is preparing Brand new handheld console Play Station. This comes from Tom Henderson, a well-known leaker in the gaming industry, who has now brought another relevant tip to the public, revealing the possible launch month for the laptop in question.

In particular, speaking on a podcast, Henderson added that we can expect the new console November 2023. The system will arrive alongside several other new accessories for the PS5, most notably a new headset and new earphones, which are expected around the same time. Sony seems to have big plans for the end of the year as, in addition to huge releases like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, it also seems to be putting together a redesigned PS5 mini with a removable disc reader.

In case you want a refresher, according to Henderson’s original post on indoor gamesPlayStation’s new portable console codenamed s low fat. This new PlayStation handheld won’t exactly be the successor to the PSP and PS Vita, as it has been reported that in order to work, one will need a PlayStation 5. The handheld will work by making use of the PlayStation 5’s Remote Play feature, to stream content from main console. It should be noted that the console will not do cloud streaming, but will require a persistent internet connection to connect to the owner’s PS5 central console. Adaptive streaming for the Q Lite will be in up to 1080p resolution at 60fps.

As for the portable console’s physical features, prototypes show that it will look a lot like the PlayStation 5 console, but with a massive 8-inch LCD touchscreen in the middle. The device will have adaptive triggers and haptic feedback and will include everything you would expect from a handheld console, such as volume buttons, speakers, audio input jack, and so on.

Of course, Sony hasn’t made any official announcements yet, so we suggest you take all of the above with a grain of salt.
