She was also known as the “Goddess of Love”
The American art world is counting many losses, since after the death of rapper Coolio, it became known that the well-known comedian Judy Tenuta, who was also known as the “Goddess of Love”, passed away last Thursday.
Details that became known about her death
Tenuta died Thursday afternoon at her Los Angeles home with her family around her, reporter Roger Neal told the Associated Press after a battle with cancer. “She was so funny, a great performer, and it was always a happy time to be around her,” Neil said.
Tenuta had given her birth date as November 7, 1965, but she was actually born in 1949, Neale said.
“She was old school, so she would never tell me her real age, but now that she’s gone we can find out her real age,” he added.
Her heart-shaped face and her hair in a perpetual flower gave off an impression of gentle innocence that was soon overtaken by her strong personality and scathing sense of humor.
Her trademark was the “machine of love and submission,” the accordion, as she lovingly called it.
