Change a lot, especially inside, not a dramatic renovation at first glance, but what it brings is welcome. The device went through our hands, tested and below we describe our experience with it.
Externally, the phone is practically identical to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. This means dimensions of 163.4×78.1×8.9mm and a weight of 233 grams, a very large phone that “fills” in the palm of the hand and has a noticeable weight. In terms of design, the back features three cameras in a vertical arrangement and next to it is a camera and sensor again in a vertical arrangement, with only the lenses protruding and any camera bumps are a thing of the past. Otherwise, the back is clean with only the company logo at the bottom.
Available in four colours: Phantom Black, Green, Cream and Lavender. The first classic color is what our hardware used to have. The phone’s materials are largely recycled, as is the S Pen. The back of the device is Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and the frame is aluminum, maintaining the classic quality of the series. Since this is such a large device, the glass on the back doesn’t help much with gripping because it’s slippery, but it could potentially keep a little bit of the device out of the case.
The left side of the device is quite clean, with the volume and power keys, which double as a fingerprint reader, located on the right side. The top side is also clean, with just a few microphone holes and nothing else. Below we will find a speaker, a USB-C port and a SIM card slot. Of course, on the right is the S Pen slot, which goes inside the mobile phone.
