Samsung: It’s now much easier to upgrade to a new device from the company with Temporary Cloud Backup – Samsung

The new feature allows users to backup and transfer an unlimited number of photos, videos and other data for up to 30 days, absolutely free.

By offering customers free storage when they need to restore or transfer data between devices, as well as a 30-day recovery period, the company is making the process easier for the user and reducing stress. The new feature also puts Samsung on par with Apple, which offers 21 days of iCloud storage when you buy a new iPhone and iPad, which can be extended. You can actually back up your Galaxy smartphone or Galaxy tablet using Samsung Cloud. However, the problem with this solution is that it only backs up system settings and app data from the original apps. So, when you switch devices or reset your phone, users will still lose all data from third-party apps.

This is now a thing of the past, while the Cloud Caching feature allows users to restore their data when it’s convenient for them, rather than initially setting up a new device through Samsung’s own setup process.

Although you can upload an unlimited number of files to Samsung Cloud through your Samsung account, the size of each individual file cannot exceed 100GB. They also have to restore and transfer their data over Wi-Fi within just 30 days. After this time, Samsung will delete all data after first sending a warning a few days ago.

Samsung also announced that “cloud caching” will be part of maintenance mode so that user data remains safe. Maintenance mode is a privacy mode launched last year that blocks data access when the device is under repair.

The announcement comes after California, one of the world’s largest economies, signed a repair law earlier this month, making it easier for devices to be repaired by users themselves or through independent repair shops. Apple announced Wednesday at a White House event that it will make parts and repair information easier to access across the United States, not just in California.

Finally, Samsung announced last week that 35 Batteries Plus stores will earn the Samsung Authorized Repair Center designation, giving customers more options for in-warranty repair of Galaxy smartphones. The stores have been strategically chosen to cover areas not already covered by Samsung’s approximately 2,000 repair centers.
