The upcoming One UI 7 update could come with some pretty big changes to the look of Galaxy devices. Leaked footage By @chunvn8888 and originally published on Smartpix Shows the changes made to the Android OS on Galaxy devices, with differences in quick settings and update settings, as well as some UI elements that follow a more rounded aesthetic.
As we can see in the leaked screenshots, Samsung may have chosen to remove notifications from the Quick Settings menu. In One UI 6, users had to swipe down once to access updates and again to return to Quick Settings (unless they selected automatic access) but that may change with One UI 7.
The shaded elements around the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth icons also change their shape compared to One UI 6 and take on a more rounded appearance. This change is also found in other parts of One UI 7, including the notifications and the central settings menu.
Smartpix has also secured a video showing off new pop-up notifications for the timer and other apps, somewhat reminiscent of the iPhone’s Dynamic Island. At the bottom of the screen, each app can be seen with rounded corners, while the Gallery app icon has a more colorful design.
The screenshots also show “Continuity Notifications,” which appears to allow the user to send video call notifications to other Galaxy devices they may have, so they can answer the call from there. This brings something to the upcoming cross-device feature Google is preparing that will allow video calls to be transferred between the same user’s devices. Apple also has a similar feature that lets you transfer FaceTime calls from an iPhone to an iPad or Mac.
Of course, it cannot be ruled out that the images we see of One UI 7 in these leaks may change until the official presentation by Samsung. The One UI 7 beta is expected to appear even during this week.
