“I want to say something for the first time, because maybe we can help some people.”
A shocking confession was made by Sasha Stamatis at breakfast. The journalist spoke about the psychological problem her father faced for many years, but also about the rapid deterioration of his health during the time he was in the rehabilitation center that led to his death.
“I want to say something for the first time, because maybe we can help some people. My dad had manic depression for 30 years. As a family we had a very hard time. He left home, we didn’t know where he was, people were telling us we saw your dad there, at Sometime we called the police, we saw him in the car on the train tracks, parked and asleep.
It required, it seemed, an order from the prosecutor and an obligation for my father to go to a psychiatric hospital. I don’t care what people say, I cared not to see my dad in this condition because he was on the road. When I was going to the psychiatric hospital, my father did not want to see me, and then he understood, ”admitted Sasha Stamati.
About the treatment she received at the rehabilitation center where her father was hospitalized shortly before his death, Sasha Stamati revealed: “My father had problems with mobility, we took him to the rehabilitation center, they did not let us see him, at one point they took us Far away on a Sunday my dad was not feeling well and the doctor told me he had to eat and drink for a month. He started dialysis, and at some point the guy “left. We’ve filed a lawsuit and are waiting to see what happens.”
Particularly touching and tender were the words that Giorgos Liagas said next about Sasa Stamatis, while Fotini Petrojani burst into tears. “My dad has a similar problem with his memory and it’s a bit difficult for me, sorry,” the journalist said, and left the site for a while.
