Soon you will not be able to use this feature on YouTube

In a few hours from now you will not be able to use her feature again Youtube. A feature that is sure to come in very handy, especially if you are an innovator with the service. As it became known, the Google will cancel stories On the well-known platform starting tomorrow, May 26th.

This means that you will not be able to upload a story to promote your video and instead Google suggests that you do it from here through community posts. Those who have already uploaded a story to your YouTube channel will naturally stay until the end.

Google’s official statements:

Hey creators, there are so many ways to create on YouTube, from community posts to live streaming. To prioritize these core features, stories are removed. From May 26, 2023, the option to create a new story will no longer be available. Stories you’ve already uploaded will expire 7 days after they were originally shared.

Stories arrived on YouTube in 2017 after its success on Instagram and Snapchat and was only available to subscribers with more than 10,000 subscribers. All creators can upload a story to their channel where they can promote their work and more. However, it seemed like few were uploading stories anymore, as YouTube brought the particularly successful TikTok-style short videos to its platform.

In fact, YouTube recently introduced new features to Community Posts (posts on the Community tab), where creators can interact with viewers using rich media. These posts can include polls, quizzes (Android only), GIFs, text, images, and videos.
