The product was examined by the First Department of the First Chemical Service of Athens of the State General Chemistry AADE and was described as unnatural and unsafe because it contained coumarin at a concentration of 28 ± 2.6 mg/kg, which is the maximum permissible limit. For the specified food category it is 15 mg/kg.
EFET has requested the immediate recall of the entire specified batch of the product in question, and the relevant controls are already underway.
Consumers who have purchased the above product (pictured on the next page of the press release) are asked not to consume it.
