Artificial intelligence is beginning to become a part of many people’s lives. It is used in many applications, such as at work, but one student came up with a clever trick.
Millie Holton, 22, a student in York, England, used ChatGPT’s features to avoid paying a fine for illegal parking.
Of course, the young student didn’t “magically” use the AI app to erase the fine or convince the police that they were wrong.
The ChatGPT application, which can provide logical and complete answers to various questions posed by users, helped the student write a letter to the city authorities to explain that she has the required permission to park her car at the place where the fine was imposed.
Artificial Intelligence: How a young student avoids a fine with the help of ChatGPT
The student didn’t ask the app to do anything too complicated; She just thought she wouldn’t be able to adequately explain what she wanted to say to the authorities.
Therefore, he asked the application to write an email in an official and professional manner to request the cancellation of the fine imposed. After sending the message written by the AI, the 22-year-old achieved her goal: the fine was canceled and she went out to celebrate with her friends.
“I don’t think I would have been able to write the script the way ChatGPT wrote it, and without it it probably wouldn’t have been deprecated,” explained the student.
“I feel good because I am a student and I don’t want to spend £60 if I can avoid it. I was very happy to find a tool that can help me put my thoughts into words in a professional way.”
“I put in all my details of where and when this happened, why it was wrong and my good report, and I had this completely formatted, personalized response within minutes,” he said, adding that ChatGPT’s response was “awesome” and explained the situation perfectly.
