There was tension in Patras on Tuesday afternoon as an Achaian MP and re-candidate with SYRIZA handed out leaflets on Gounari Street.
Later, especially in the heights of Karaiskaki, a shop owner was attacked by Kostas Markos.
According to his complaint pelop.gr, the shopkeeper scolded. Police rushed to the spot and arrested the owner of the shop. However, the incident didn’t stop there and after a while, the shopkeeper’s brother attacked MP, who was hit by the Vespa he was riding.
“I did not expect this attack, but the fight for democracy will continue and those who want to scare us with such incidents will not win,” Kostas Marko told pelop.gr.
According to the MP, the culprits apologized for the incident and he did not file a case against them and did not want to pursue the incident.
Except for some minor bruises on his arms and legs, Kostas Marko was not injured and therefore did not need to go to the hospital.
