Tax returns 2024: don’t forget – what not to miss

Tax returns are progressing normally and we are slowly getting closer to the end…

But what should we pay attention to so that unexpected problems do not occur?

The reason, of course, is the International Bank Account Number (IBAN). Which is what almost all of us should declare!

Who do not need to fill in the IBAN number

AADE has launched a new update regarding tax returns for the year 2024, in order to make it easier for citizens who have reached the age of 65 (i.e. born on 12/31/1958) and citizens with a disability of 67% or more.

In particular, citizens belonging to the above categories are not required to disclose their EVA account before filing their income tax return for the 2023 tax year, unless their return results in a credit balance or a pending amount of other taxes to be refunded.

It should be noted that IVAN can be declared:

  • On the digital portal myAADE (myaade.gov.gr) by following the path Registration and Contact > IBAN Statement
  • In the myAADEapp mobile application by selecting Contact Information > IBAN.

It is reported that until today:

  • As of 04/25/2024, the tax filing start date for this year, 854,243 Evan vehicles have been declared.
  • There are still 75,464 citizens who have reached the age of 65 or have a disability of 67% or more, entitled to a tax refund and who have not declared IVAN.
