5G may have only just entered our lives, starting to appear about 5 years ago, but 4G doesn’t seem to have fully subsided in most cases especially in remote areas – especially in Greece.
However 6 gramsThat is, the next generation of wireless networks is already around the corner, and many manufacturers are working on ways to take advantage of the greater bandwidth they provide. For this thanks to the partnership of Japanese companies Finished A technician tests a prototype of a 6G device to see what speeds it can achieve. Results; Something more than lightning!
The first 6G device did just that Up to speeds of up to 100 Gbps, 10 times faster than the top speed of 5G and – mind you – 500 times faster than the average 5G mobile phone speed.. Keep in mind that 10Gbps is the maximum speed that 5G can reach now and only under ideal conditions.
To make 6G speeds even smaller, imagine a two-hour movie in medium quality from Netflix About 1.5 GB, which means that such a movie is actually streamed 8 or 9 times every second (!).
It should be noted that the technology demonstration took place in a relatively sterile environment, with state-of-the-art components and hardware, despite having a stable connection at an altitude of over 100 metres.
This result came after extensive research and development conducted by Japanese telecommunications company NTT (i.e. Japanese OTE), and private supplier DOCOMO, along with manufacturers NEC and Fujitsu.
However, 6G technology still has a long way to go before it is established and overcomes issues such as signal dropout, infrastructure setup and commercial viability.
