As usual with the search giant’s latest devices, the Google Pixel 7a is based on the company’s platform and includes a Tensor G2 SoC (System-on-Chip) which, as you know, borrowed its name from the processing units used by Google in its data centers. This means that the Tensor G2 SoC borrows beyond the name and several Tensor CPU components and machine learning acceleration components that are expected to change the way we interact with the new version of Android. Of course, the processor is based on the ARM architecture and integrates a Titan M2 module that takes care of data security (including photos or messages) with strong encryption. The Tensor G2 processor is paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Pixel 7a’s screen is a 6.1-inch diagonal OLED with FHD + resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and supports a variable refresh rate of up to 90Hz. The device is water resistant (meets IP67 specifications), supports fast wired charging (18W) and wireless charging (7.5W) and, according to the company, its autonomy is sufficient for 24 hours of use. Its battery capacity is 4385 mAh.
The Pixel 7a phone, which will be available in three colors (the company’s well-known “pastel” colors with a new coral version) and features the distinctive “Google” design with a metal frame and dual color, and has a dual camera. system on the back.
The system consists of a 64MP Quad PD Quad Bayer wide-angle camera (72% larger sensor compared to the previous generation with 0.8µm pixels) with an f:/1.89 aperture and a 13MP wide-angle with 95° FoV and f:/2.2. Among the features of the new camera system in the Pixel 7a is Super Res Zoom which allows up to 8x lossless zoom as well as Real Tone. Features like Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, and Night Sight are also supported. The front camera is based on a 13MP sensor and can record videos in 4K.
The device is dual-SIM, has stereo speakers and two microphones with noise cancellation, supports Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) at 2.4GHz + 5GHz + 6GHz, HE80, MIMO, Bluetooth v5.3 + LE , NFC, Google Cast and GPS as well as 5G networks. The Google Pixel 7a is priced at $499 and is available immediately for US users with the company’s promise of 5 years of security updates.
