Venezuelan Juan Vicente Pérez Mora, who in 2022 became the oldest person in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records, died yesterday, Tuesday, at the age of 114 years, the authorities and his family announced today.
“Juan Vicente Pérez Mora has passed away forever at the age of 114. This man from El Cobre gave Venezuela the record for longevity attributed to the Guinness Book of World Records,” Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said in a post on the social media site X.
Guinness World Records is saddened to learn of the passing of Juan Vicente Pérez at the age of 114.
He was declared the world's oldest man at the age of 112 in February 2022.
