Israeli Army Radio reported that the maneuvers, which took place in coordination with the US Army and the Cypriot National Guard, included long-range operations and an attack on a distant target.
Military blogger OSINTdefender said that during the exercises, in which at least one squadron of Israeli fighter jets participated, a simulation of a retaliatory strike was conducted in preparation for an attack by Iran or its proxy on Israeli territory.
Towards strategic goals in Cyprus
He adds that the Israeli planes that took off from Israel were supported by air supply tankers, and faced long-range missile bombardment over the eastern Mediterranean and against strategic targets in Cyprus.
