In just 15 minutes, a woman about to give birth reached a private maternity hospital in Thessaloniki, accompanied by bicyclists from the DIAS team of the Hellenic Police.

On the afternoon of Friday, December 22, when a pregnant woman went into labor, the traffic chaos on the streets of Thessaloniki prompted her to call for immediate action.

Within 15 minutes, the pregnant woman arrived at the maternity clinic

Bicyclists from the DIAS group sped off from a street in the center of Thessaloniki at 18:25 on October 26 with a vehicle carrying a pregnant mother and arrived at Pylaia, where the maternity clinic is located. Time, at 18:40.

The pregnant woman is in little danger and is perfectly healthy.

A life bridge for a minor in Thessaloniki

It is noteworthy that on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 20, the police officers of Thessaloniki set up another rescue bridge for a minor.

The child was taken to the hospital in the family vehicle. Just before the car arrived in Derweni, the family called for immediate action, asking for help to get them to a medical facility quickly.

An operation involving patrol cars and two-wheelers of transport and immediate action was set up immediately.

From Derweni they started with the vehicle and by “opening up” the roads they were able to reach the hospital in ten minutes.
