A manufacturer from China has just introduced a laptop that looks like it came from another era, as its size is unusually huge. Of course, its technical specifications definitely belong to the present, as it is equipped with the latest CPU and GPU that are usually only found in desktop PC configurations.
Going into details, the high-performance laptop comes in two different configurations with workstation/server level processors. The first option is the AMD EPYC 7713 and the other is the AMD Epic 9554, both of which have 64 cores, but with Zen 3 and Zen 4 architecture respectively. Obviously, integrating processors of this level into a laptop is a great achievement, but it creates challenges such as high power consumption and heat management. The Chinese company has creatively solved these problems with a unique cooling mechanism.
In particular, the laptop stays cool thanks to the separate liquid cooling system, which uses radiators instead of traditional heat pipes. This system includes a built-in pump and water tank, ensuring optimal cooling for powerful specifications.
The laptop’s impressive specs extend to its graphics capabilities as well, as it features an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 card, a GPU usually reserved for desktop computers!
Despite its unusual dimensions, at 420mm x 325mm x 46mm, the laptop maintains a degree of portability. As for the rest of the specifications, it contains a 17.3-inch screen, 2.5K resolution, with a 240Hz refresh rate, upgradable to 4K at 120Hz, and with a 100% sRGB color range. In addition, it also has an additional 3.5-inch screen for monitoring various performance metrics.
Its price is not yet known, but certainly since this is an unusual product and not intended for everyone, it will be expensive.
