This Greek city has been ranked by Business Insider in the 12 best cities in the world for low-cost living

This Greek city has been ranked by Business Insider in the 12 best cities in the world for low-cost living

Business Insider notes that more and more Americans are taking advantage of remote work and deciding to move to cities abroad.

As he characteristically writes, “remote workers have become ‘digital nomads’ while living in heavenly places from Spain to Colombia.”

So Insider has compiled a list of 12 cities where you can live relatively cheaply, using data from comparison site Numbeo, which provides a summary of the cost of living in major cities around the world.

Numbeo calculates the average user-submitted expenses, including the estimated monthly expenses for an individual or a family of four, as well as the monthly rent and purchase price for a downtown home. It also sets typical prices for coffee, a meal for two, and a gym membership. Insider has selected cities from different countries and continents, in an effort to feature those cities that are relatively affordable, especially compared to the United States.

There is also a Greek city that ranks 8th among the top 10 cities. Larisa’s reason!

Larissa is the main city in the Thessaly region of Greece, located between Mount Ossa and Mount Olympus. The city is located on the Pineios River, surrounded by rich valleys and featuring a mountainous landscape. The biggest attractions of Larissa include its amphitheater dating back to Roman times, and the Timeless Museum which includes its ancient and medieval history.
