With only five players from the first line, Anadolu Efes will host Panathinaikos on Tuesday afternoon (12/5 at 19:30) in the 12th round of the Euroleague.
With a 5-6 record, Anadolu Efes is one win behind Panathinaikos and Olympiacos after 11 Euroleague games. But things are getting more difficult for the Istanbul team, which will host Panathinaikos on Tuesday night (12/5 at 19:30) with literally half of its roster. Although their absences are so great that it would not be an exaggeration to say that the level of the absent is higher than the level of the present.
Erdem Can will not have Rodrigue Beauboa and Elijah Bryant in goal, Will Claiborne and Derek Willis in the forwards, and Andi Zizic and Tibor Bliss in the midfield position.
Those available to Anadolu Efes coach will be Shane Larkin – Darius Thompson at goalkeepers, Mike Daum at forwards and Tyreek Jones – Erkan Osmani at midfield. Behind them, additional Justus Ulakes (who replaced the injured Dogus Ozdemiroglu), Erten Gazi, Melik Tunca, Erkan Yilmaz, youngster Burkan Yildizel, Salih Altoundas and Efe Demirel will necessarily complete the list.
