Olympiacos failed to win the Under-20 World Cup in Brazil, losing 2-1 to Flamengo at the Maracana. Details of what PAE Olympiacos club owner said
“I don’t want to see heads bowed! This is not the time for tears or celebrations. It is time to learn the lesson that a little bit of negligence in life can make you not get what you deserve in the end. But regardless, you are here in front of 40,000 people who have never stopped supporting their team, you have stood up and fought and I want you to be proud of what you have done so far, as we are proud of you.
We support you, you are the future of the club and on your way you will win countless titles wearing the red and white shirt. Let’s all come together, from tomorrow we will get back to work and I say it again. I don’t want to see heads bowed. As European champions you have lived an incredible experience in the stadium that was in our dreams when we were children! We will continue to dream and all the good things are ahead of us.
There was a reward for winning the cup which you would normally get because as I told you, I consider you a winner!”
