The finance staff is considering the immediate implementation of reduced toll fees in the event of the deadlock being lifted for two reasons.
The first has to do with rental and time-lease companies who seem to want to activate their fleet of vehicles earlier each year, and the second has to do with Greek vehicle owners who want to lift their cars from a standstill and move on at Easter or in the summer by paying a proportionately reduced toll.
Vehicle owners have to clear the deadlock by paying tolls in proportion to the month without incurring any ‘fine’.
The cost of the monthly pass fee
This year’s reduced toll cost, as first revealed by Newsauto.gr, will not include a penalty from 1/12 to 2/12 of the relative annual toll fee, dividing the total cost by 12 months of the year and charging the actual monthly toll without Extra charge.
With the new system, 3-month deferment holders will only pay 3/12 of the annual toll fee.
Accordingly, if someone wants to remove the deadlock from June to December, he will pay 7/12 of the annual traffic fee for his vehicle.
At the same time, vehicle owners should know that there is a fee for the entire month in which the deadlock is removed, regardless of whether it was done at the beginning or end of the month.
That is, for a passenger car with an annual toll of €120 whose owner is immobilized on April 20 for one month, he will pay €10, for a quarter of €30 while if he chooses to immobilize it for the rest of the year. In April he will pay 90 euros.
In the event that the vehicle owner does not implement the temporary immobility electronically after the expiry of the time limit received by him, a fine equal to twice the amount of the toll will be automatically imposed.
That is, if the vehicle pass fee is 120 euros and the owner has paid the removal of the immobilizer for one month (10 euros) but does not implement the new immobilizer electronically after the end of the 30 days, the tax office imposes a fine equal to twice the turnover of the annual fee, i.e. 240 euros.
When will the full toll fee be paid?
If the owner of the car has installed the car for three months and during this period a buyer is found inside or outside the borders, then in order to transfer or export the car, the remaining amount of the toll must be paid.
That is, if the annual road tax costs €120 and the owner does not move for a quarter by paying €30 but someone is found to buy the car inside or outside the border then in order to carry out the transfer or export an additional €90 has to be paid.
In the event that a person manages to transport or export his vehicle without paying the corresponding toll fee, the fine is equal to twice the annual toll fee…
How often can the deadlift?
The removal of the deadlock for a period of one or three months is binding and cannot be carried out a second time during the year according to the previous arrangement. In fact, if the cardholder takes advantage of the favorable regulations and pays a reduced toll fee for one month, he will only be able to withdraw again but for the rest of the whole year by paying the remaining amount of the toll.
That is, if the owner of the car with an annual traffic fee of 120 euros immobilizes it for 3 months and after the expiration of 90 days wishes to immobilize it again, he will have to pay an additional 90 euros for the remaining months of the current. Public.
Electronic deadlock
Vehicle owners who wish to remove the immobilizer and have implemented the temporary immobilization electronically must visit the myCar of AADE online platform and proceed with the procedures.
In particular, vehicle owners must, after paying the reduced toll, submit the insurance policy electronically so that they can be examined and then ensure that the vehicle is installed.
In the event that license plates are submitted to the tax office, the vehicle owner must submit by appointment to the DOU:
Non-movement certificate.
Police ID or passport of the applicant.
Proof of road tax payment.
The insurance policy is valid.
By submitting supporting documents, vehicle owners will obtain the license plates and license of their vehicle as well as a declaration of immobilization.
In the event of vehicle co-owners, all co-owners notified through personal information or email if made public must consent and if consent must consent to the request.
Heavy fines
If it appears to the competent authorities, during the examination, that the car is moving or parked in a public place and carries plates, while they are fixed digitally, the consequences are very serious. In particular, in this case, the ban is lifted, the toll and late payment fine are paid, as well as an administrative fine of 10,000 euros. In case of repetition, an administrative fine of €30,000 is imposed and the driver’s license of the owner/holder is withdrawn.
