Construction of a pedestrian bridge over Athens Avenue will result in traffic restrictions in the area.
According to relevant information, temporary traffic regulations will be enforced on Athens Avenue in Saidari next weekend (15-16/7).
Traffic regulations in detail:
– From 07-15-2023 Saturday 22:00 to 07-16-2023 Sunday 09:00, traffic flow towards Athens will be completely closed to vehicular traffic on Athens Avenue.
– Sunday 07-16-2023 and from 02:00 to 06:00, complete stoppage of vehicular traffic on Athens Avenue, traffic flow towards Elefsina.
– In the period from 07-15-2023 Saturday 23:00 to 07-16-2023 Sunday 09:00:00, complete stoppage of vehicular traffic in the traffic stream from Favierou to the junction with Athens Avenue.
Specifically:
– Full closure of the road from Karaiskaki Street to Agoniston Street in the Athens Avenue area.
Gradual reduction of the number of traffic lanes from four (4) to two (2) on Athens Road (right in the direction of Athens) over a length of 290m. Two (2) to one (1) restriction before Anexartisias Street, then to Agoniston Street.
Gradual reduction of the number of traffic lanes of Athens Road from four (4) to three (3) (right on current towards Elefsina) 135 m long. Before ‘Anoixis Street, then two (2) additional right lanes are restricted for a length of 250m. to Favero Street.
– Setting a maximum speed limit of 60km/h for vehicles traveling on Athens Avenue and 500m section.
Right traffic lanes (flow towards Athens and flow towards Elefsina) for up to 100m before the restriction starts. Proper traffic routes (currently towards Athens and Elefsina) before the blockade began.
– Setting a maximum speed limit of 40km/h for vehicles on Athens Avenue and 100m section. Right traffic lanes before the start of the blockade (flow towards Athens and flow towards Elefsina) until the diversion of traffic (flow towards Athens and Elefsina).
-No overtaking on Athens Avenue and 300m section. Before the blockade of the proper traffic routes begins (flow towards Athens and flow towards Elefsina).
– Setting a maximum speed limit of 30 km/h for vehicles on Athens Avenue and Favero Street in the 25m segment. Before its junction with Triangle Island.
– Prohibition of overtaking vehicles on Favero Street in the direction of Athens Avenue and in a 25m segment. Before its junction with Triangle Island.
Vehicular traffic through the bypass roads will be conducted as follows.
For vehicles traveling from Elefsina to Athens, the detour will follow:
Athinon St., right Agoniston Str. Siderio, left Rhodes continue, left Karaiskaki, right Athinon st.
For vehicles traveling from Athens to Elefsina, the detour will follow:
Athens Ave., right Faviro, left at end of triangle island, right Athens Ave.
ELAS vehicle drivers must be especially careful when passing through construction sites and follow existing road signs.
