Rikki Valerie Colley was crowned Miss Netherlands 2023 and made history in the country, becoming the first transgender woman to win this title.
The 22-year-old was crowned the winner of the beauty pageant and will participate in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant.

In a post on social media, Ricky expressed her happiness and pride in her achievement.
“I did it. It sounds unreal but I really am ‘Miss Holland 2023′”.
It was a beautiful journey, full of lessons and nothing could spoil it for me. I am so proud and happy I can’t even describe it. You made my community proud and proved that anything can happen.
And yes, I’m trans and I want to share my story, but I’m also Ricky and that’s what I care about,” the young crown wrote on social media.
