Troubles with the support of solar water heaters, a little waiting for applications on allazothermosifona.gov.gr

The announcement of the “Water Heater Recycling and Replacement” program, which will be implemented within the framework of NSRF 2014-2020, was published in the Official Gazette.

Although the information wanted the online platform www.allazothermosifona.gov.gr, where solar water heater voucher applications will be submitted, to be opened today, there was finally a reversal.

According to the Official Gazette, the period for submitting and evaluating funding applications is as follows:

– The start of funding applications from potential beneficiaries will be activated in Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

The Recycle – Replace Water Heater program supports families to:

– Replacing energy-consuming electric heaters with the latest modern technologies for solar heaters.

– With parallel recycling of the old water heaters being replaced.

As part of the program, electric water heaters with a capacity of more than 40 liters can be replaced.

For every new powered solar water heater, the old must be recycled through an approved alternative waste management system and associated equipment at the recycling facility.

Conditions for the beneficiaries’ participation in the program

The potential beneficiaries of the program are domestic consumers who have electric water heaters installed in their homes (not on the premises), which they would like to replace.

Applications are submitted by natural individuals who were born before January 1, 2006 and are permanently residing in Greece. In order to submit an application, a natural person must:

– You must have a tax registration number, as well as valid access codes to AADE electronic services, by which it can be identified.

– To have filed in the reference year (tax year 2021) an income tax return (E1), either as a single or joint returnee, or indirectly as a ‘spouse/SPO1’ in the case of a joint return.
