The official results of the May 14 elections in Turkey were published at noon on Friday (19/5) in the Official Gazette.
The results of the first round of elections were completed in Turkey, where Recep Tayyip Erdogan advanced by 4.64 points over the candidate of the “National Alliance” Kemal Kilicdaroglu.
After resolving all objections submitted by the Supreme Council for Elections, the official results of the May 14 elections were published on Friday afternoon (19/5) in the Official Gazette.
According to the Turkish version of BBCRecep Tayyip Erdoğan won 49.52% of the vote against 44.88% for Kilicdaroglu. According to the results in Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan collected 27,133,849 votes against Kilicdaroglu’s 24,595,178 votes.
Thus, it was officially confirmed that none of the candidates obtained the required 50% + 1 to be elected president from the first round, and there will be a second round between Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Kemal Kilicdaroglu on May 28.

That is, the difference between the two candidates is 2,538,681 votes.
Thus, Sinan Ogan, from the far-right and nationalist ATA coalition, will play a key role, with 5.17% and 2831.239 votes, covering the gap between the two candidates.
Finally, Muharram Engi, who announced his withdrawal two or three days before the elections, got 235,783 votes, or 0.43% of the vote.
The number of voters reached 64,145,504 citizens, and the participation rate was 87.04%.
