The counter-terrorism service went on to arrest two more as part of a sting operation linked to various strikes, some of which were carried out in “revenge plots”.

NOTICE OF EL.AS. Anti-terrorists make two new arrests
“Following the press release issued on 02-27-2024, the Anti-Terrorism Service (D.A.E.P.E.P.), dated 21st June, 2024, afternoon, 40 and 52 Two more adults were identified and arrested, with relevant arrest warrants pending against them.
At the same time, as part of a coordinated police operation, in Athens and Thessaloniki, legal searches were conducted at their homes in the presence of court officials.
Those arrested were taken to the office of the competent attorney.
Who were arrested?
According to reports, the 52-year-old was imprisoned in Domogos prison for drugs and robbery, where he allegedly met a member of the organization and became involved in its activities.
The 40-year-old was allegedly involved in the attack on the Petralona bank, while he had previously been of concern to authorities in connection with drugs.
Organizational cases
Later, on February 27, ELAS said in a related press release that five cases had been resolved so far
- A file containing explosives was sent to the court of Thessaloniki where it was discovered on 12/02/2024,
- 25/1/2024 Improvised Explosive Blast at Bank Branch in Petralona,
- On 13/11/2023 an improvised explosive device exploded in a building complex in Kifissia, where a construction company is located,
- On 07/08/2023 a grenade hurled a car belonging to a prison official parked in the parking lot of an apartment building in Hydari.
- On 06/24/2023 a grenade detonated and detonated an improvised explosive device in the yard of a house in Larissa.
