In the next second Toraz collapsed to the ground. Immediately an ambulance arrived and took him away. “It was so surreal… just minutes before we exchanged vows, promising to love each other till death do us part,” Davis says.
“I never imagined what would happen next.”
“When I got to the hospital, the doctors made me wait outside while they tried to revive him. It was an agonizing 40 minutes before I was allowed in,” Davis continued, describing it to the newspaper. sun.
“I begged them to save him.”
“He had a heart attack on his way to the hospital and there was nothing they could do to save him. The doctors let me into the room and I saw him lying on the hospital bed. I begged them to save him, but Toraz was gone.”
She says the past few weeks have been a struggle to return to some normalcy, for the sake of her young daughter, who constantly asks where her father is.
“She was my soul mate and on our wedding day I felt like the happiest woman in the world. Now we have to live the rest of our lives without him.”
She concluded: “I may have only been his wife for an hour, but I will make sure that his memory will last a lifetime.”
